Scale inhibitors

IFOTOP specialists developed new scale inhibitors “IFO PHOSPHOCOR” (based on phosphonates) and “IFO POLYSCALE” (based on a synergistic mixture of phosphonates and synthetic polymers). The inhibitors composition is reinforced with derivatives of the base amine NMPA, which makes it possible to ensure the stability of a highly concentrated commercial form and its low corrosiveness. Control of the usage effectiveness is carried out by laboratory methods for determining the residual content of phosphonates in recycled water and the efficiency of hardness salts dispersion.

Additionally, salt inhibitors content control is organized within the framework of the complex system “IFO AQUA-MONITOR”, by introducing a fluorescent label into the reagents for real-time monitoring. This approach makes it possible to accurately determine the rate of reagents decrease in the concentration and the timing of system renewal based on the response rate of the fluorescent label.

Tests IFO scale inhibitors for inhibitory functions and compatibility with biocides are carried out on the test benches of IFOTOP LLC, developed according to NACE SP 0189-2013 and ASTM D4778 standards.
